Hello, and welcome to the ExplainerThingy blog. I have prepared a small FAQ.
What is ExplainerThingy?
ExplainerThingy is something that is years in the making. When I was going to university, I often found other students complaining about their classes. They didn't get the concept. The math was too hard. Why should they care about some dead guy who wrote something a stupid play hundreds of years ago? ExplainerThingy is meant to connect typical 'boring' concepts and apply them to real-life applications in the world. In other words, ExplainerThingy is here to help make school cool again.
Who are you?
Here is a list of things that I am not:
A superhero that dresses like a mammal and combats criminals
A giant mouse in charge of a large corporation

A Christmas Tree.
Now for who I am: My name is Rachel, and I am a full-time professional who is going back to college for my second degree. I have a B.A. in International Studies and I'm working on a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering. I've studied abroad in Spain and traveled to various countries. I have a job in the engineering field. What this really means is that I'm a fairly well-rounded person. Explaining things that I've learned is one of my favorite things to do, so why not share it with the world?
